About Ichetuknee Springs
Ichetucknee Springs is a world class spring system that provides natural, recreational and economic values for the people of Florida. The seven named springs create the Ichetucknee River that joins the Santa Fe River four miles south of the headspring. The springs are a first magnitude spring system with an average flow of 233 million gallons per day. Blue Hole Spring is the largest of the largest of the springs and has a first magnitude discharge. In his book A Naturalist in Florida, Dr. Archie Carr wrote The Ichetucknee and its run, the most beautiful landscape in the world. Read more
